France/The 24th edition of the 5i Forum will take place on July 1st on the theme "The World After".

A major economic event in the regional calendar, the Forum 5i enables innovation players, entrepreneurs, researchers, financiers and project leaders to meet and discuss technological, economic and societal issues and to discover the innovative projects under development.

In the current particular context, all the preventive measures recommended by the competent authorities will be put in place (wearing masks, organising flows, making hydroalcoholic gel available, counting system, etc.). Maintaining this event is, as last year, a strong sign of the city's support for entrepreneurs and the local ecosystem.

IN THE FACE OF THE CRISIS, PREPARING AND EXPLORING "THE WORLD AFTER

The year 2020, marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, has changed our behaviour and weakened our economies, but also accelerated the consideration of environmental issues on a larger scale.

In these exceptional circumstances, companies have had to and have been able to adapt, review their models, and anticipate changes. But what about tomorrow? How to manage the economic, social and industrial consequences, etc.?

While the projections and indicators for 2021 remain uncertain, the 24th Forum 5i has chosen to highlight these entrepreneurs, researchers and project leaders who are already working on the world of tomorrow.

"We have chosen the theme of the "world after" because the health crisis has shown us that the economy of tomorrow will have to be different. This topic will be illustrated from different angles: the aftermath of the economic crisis, with questions of international dependence and industrial relocation; the aftermath of the health crisis and how innovation is being used for health and finally the post-crisis period from an environmental point of view with the acceleration of the decarbonisation of activities, mobility, etc. »

CALL FOR PROJECTS: TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE & VENTURE 5I, CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS ARE LAUNCHED

Two highlights are proposed during the 5i Forum; they highlight the talents and projects developed in the Metropolis and more widely in the region:

The first is the TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE, which highlights innovative projects from the region's research laboratories, thus demonstrating the vitality of regional research, its multidisciplinary nature and its presence in fields that are driving innovation. At the heart of the event, this exhibition aims to show the existing links between start-ups and regional laboratories, and to promote the latest projects around the annual theme ("The world of tomorrow").

THE VENTURE 5I® is the financing forum of the 5i Forum (innovation, industry, inclusion, investment, international), dedicated to the meeting of innovative companies of the Alpine arc in search of financing and national and international investors. The aim of the Venture 5i® is to identify around twenty high-growth companies from the Alpine region. Over the course of two days, project leaders looking for financing meet with the main national and international investors likely to help them in their expansion. Since its creation, this event has enabled more than 130 startups to raise more than 1 billion euros.
